A Casual Invitation...

We are all about making an impression.

At AARON's, we believe that an event experience starts outside at valet and will carries throughout the evening until departure. Think bathrooms, think valet line, think exit strategy. Event producers and planners have so much opportunity to engage the guest---its so exciting!

One idea that we love is the opportunity that DMCs get when hosting groups at a base hotels; "The Room Plant". This is what were calling it, if you have a better name we are open for suggestions!! Marketing companies are calling it a "room drop" and selling it along with exhibitor packages. But we like the "plant" better.

"The Room Plant" is the act of placing a teaser item, often times a welcome bag, itinerary, or invitation, in each attendees hotel room while vacant. In doing so, it prolongs the experience and or sets a reminder. After all, if your group is in from out of town the event program never stops right?

Upon the guest's return the item creates an element of surprise and intrigue.

This week we are thrilled to announce that we are working on a three day program with Eatertainment and BMW and they have mastered the art of "Room Planting". Images will follow the program. But it got us thinking...what else could you room plant?

  1. As a guest chef at the Epcot Food & Wine Festival in 2009, the goodie bag that was waiting in my suite for me was worth at least $300! Artisan Honeys, Teas from around the world, Himalayan Pink Salt crystals that were all the size of a fist, Special Crystal Champagne Glasses and Champagne to drink out of them, cigars, this list goes on & on. That is a trip I'll never forget!
