Catering to the Environment...

In the spirit of Earth Day, everyone is trying to do their part--caterers are no different! Our team at AARON’S CATERING International & Gourmet constantly strives to be environmentally conscious year-round. When planning an event consider calling upon green vendors. Below are some things to think about when shopping.

FOOD

Do they purchase local and sustainable produce and dairy? Not only does this promote and encourage the growth of the local economy, it also lessens greenhouse gas emissions and other harmful effects the transportation of food products can have on the environment.

EQUIPMENT

Does the company use china and “real” silverware whenever possible? When disposable serviceware is the only option, it's important to use bio-degradable utensils, cups, plates, and boxes.

ENERGY

What does the company do to offset energy usage? Catering kitchens that house energy efficient appliances, ventilation systems and flow restrictors aid not only the environment, but help offset costs as well.

PARTNERSHIP

Who does your caterer frequently work with? Partnering with vendors who are also socially conscious will help strengthen your focus.
