Ready, Set, Cook!

Each team worked from their respective stations
This past weekend more than 55 Verizon Wireless employees from all over the country joined forces at South Beach's Art Deco Welcome Center for an ocean-side Iron Chef Challenge. Emceed by Chef Brian Aaron, the executives were broken into 5 teams of 10 and assigned to an Aaron's Catering cheftestant. The secret ingredient? Shrimp. Up for stake? bragging rights and the coveted golden spatula.

"It was a blast seeing how competitive and passionate each person was," said chef/leader Brandon Tripp. "They were here to cook and it showed!"

The groups had access to the produce pantry which included everything from fresh herbs to eggs and items like Panko (breadcrumbs) and raw pasta.

As the time clock counted down, each team member rushed to get their dishes plated and in front of the panel of judges which included fellow Verizon employees and foodies alike.

"I was amazed at how good the dishes came out," says judge and Aaron's Catering Client Delopment Manager, Jenny Lynn George. "They really did a great job on presentation and creativity, which were two of the judging categories along with taste.
